SWAP MEETING - Brothers Marty and Mark Smithberg arrange vintage kitchenware and other items in one of their two rented 8-foot by 9-foot booths at the weekend swap meet on the skating rink floor of the newly-named Southgate Events Center. While customers steadily pass through the front door, there is a shortage of vendors.

Swap Meet opens it's doors in White Center

The former Southgate Skate Center is now the Southgate Event Center, and has begun to hold indoor weekend swap meets. The enormous building, with 16,000 square feet of floor space with over 80 booths, at 9646 17th Avenue SW, but the establishment needs more vendors. Each booth costs $40 per day, half price for area merchants.
The swap meet is open Saturdays 1:00pm-7:00pm, Sundays 10:00am-4:00pm.
